Only a Test LLC offers structured preparation for the ACT and SAT built around strategy, content mastery, and disciplined practice. Programs are tailored to the student’s current score range, academic background, and testing goals, with clear expectations for improvement and a realistic plan to get there.
Small-group instruction is available for pre-formed pairs or trios of students who demonstrate closely aligned strengths, weaknesses, pacing, and baseline scores across sections. All group configurations are reviewed during consultation, and are accepted only when alignment allows for fully targeted instruction. In all cases, instructional precision takes precedence over group placement.
PSAT preparation is offered selectively for students with a realistic path toward National Merit recognition, as well as for families seeking limited preparation focused on test familiarity rather than competition.

How programs are structured
- Instruction is provided one-on-one or in small groups (2–3 students).
- Programs are organized in 6-, 12-, and 18-hour formats, with an additional Elite Guarantee option for students seeking maximum improvement.
- An initial diagnostic is based on a recent official test or a practice test completed at home.
- Program scope and any modifications (including ACT Science or Writing) are discussed during consultation or enrollment.
Before selecting a program
If you’re unsure which option is appropriate, you’re encouraged to start with a brief conversation. Programs are selected based on current scores, target scores, available timeline, academic strengths and gaps, and test history.
Foundation — 6 hours
For students who already have solid fundamentals and want targeted, strategy-driven score improvement without a long-term commitment.
Typical starting ranges:
ACT: 26–30 composite
SAT: 1200–1400 total

Program focus:
Emphasizes test-taking strategy, time management, question prioritization, and score-maximizing decision-making, with limited targeted content review as needed.

Elite Guarantee

For students with ambitious academic goals who want sustained, individualized preparation with a clearly defined outcome. The Elite Guarantee combines weekly instruction with ongoing assessment, targeted skill development, and strategic refinement over the course of the student’s preparation.
The program continues in 30-day or 90-day enrollment periods, allowing preparation to continue for as long as the student is actively participating and working toward the guarantee threshold.
Ideal timing:
The Elite Guarantee Program is designed primarily for students who begin preparation during sophomore year or the first half of junior year. Starting early allows time for diagnostic evaluation, targeted skill development, multiple official test administrations, and strategic planning before college applications are submitted.
Students beginning later may still be eligible, depending on their goals and testing timeline.
Typical starting ranges:
ACT: Generally 23–29 composite
SAT: Generally 1150–1350 total

Program focus:

- Continued preparation toward the guarantee threshold
Guarantee:
The Elite Guarantee is satisfied when a student improves from the established baseline score by 5 or more ACT composite points or 200 or more SAT points.
The guarantee is satisfied as soon as the student reaches the applicable improvement threshold, regardless of the number of active enrollment periods completed. Students who achieve the guaranteed improvement may discontinue the program or continue preparation in pursuit of additional improvement. Continued enrollment after the guarantee has been satisfied does not establish a new guarantee or additional refund eligibility.
If the guaranteed improvement has not been achieved, a student must complete the equivalent of at least 12 active 30-day enrollment periods to become eligible for a prorated refund. These periods need not be consecutive. For purposes of guarantee and refund eligibility, each active 90-day enrollment period is equivalent to three active 30-day enrollment periods. Periods during which enrollment is paused or the student is not actively participating do not count toward the 12-period requirement.
For an eligible student who has not achieved the full guaranteed improvement, the refund is calculated at 15% of Elite Guarantee program fees paid for each ACT composite point, or each 40 SAT total score points, by which the student falls short of the guaranteed improvement. The maximum refund is 75%.
(PSAT is not included in the Elite Guarantee.)

Individual instruction only

Enrollment and payment:
The initial payment is due on or before the first tutoring session. Students may enroll in either 30-day or 90-day periods. Subsequent payments are due at the beginning of each new enrollment period. A credit card or bank account must be kept on file for automatic payment.
At least five calendar days’ notice is required to discontinue enrollment before the next renewal date. Enrollment may be paused when appropriate; paused periods do not count toward the 12 active 30-day enrollment periods required for prorated refund eligibility.
Except for refunds due under the Elite Guarantee, fees are nonrefundable once a new 30-day or 90-day enrollment period begins.

Hourly instruction
- Individual instruction: $235 per hour, payable by the appointment.
- 2 students: $282 per hour total ($141 each).
- 3 students: $354 per hour total ($118 each).
- Hourly sessions are available upon request and are typically used for targeted help, short timelines, or narrowly defined goals.
- Small-group hourly rates are based on the number of students participating. If the size of an ongoing group changes, the hourly rate will be adjusted to reflect the number of students remaining.
Payment & Billing
- Payment is accepted by credit or debit card, ACH bank transfer, Venmo, check, or cash.
- For hourly tutoring, programs paid in installments, and recurring-enrollment programs, a valid payment method may be required to be kept on file.
- Clients may make payments using any accepted payment method, subject to the terms of the applicable program.
- Hourly sessions are payable at the time of each appointment.
- Package and installment payments are due according to the payment schedule specified for the applicable program.
- Recurring-enrollment payments are due according to the renewal schedule specified for the applicable program.
- When automatic payment is required or authorized, the card or bank account on file will be charged on the applicable due date.
- Checks should be made payable to Only a Test LLC.
- Venmo and ACH payment information is provided during enrollment or upon request.
- Card and bank-account payment information used for automatic payments is stored securely through a third-party payment processor; Only a Test LLC does not store or have access to full card or bank-account numbers.
Small-Group Programs
- Small-group programs are priced based on the initially agreed upon number of participants and each family’s commitment to the full program.
- Once a small-group program has begun, payments are non-refundable if a student withdraws or chooses not to complete the program.
- If a student withdraws, the remaining student or students may complete the originally purchased program without an increase in price.
Pricing Protection
- Students who enroll in a program before a published rate increase will retain their original pricing for that specific program.
- Pricing protection applies only to the student(s) enrolled and does not extend to siblings, future enrollments, or additional programs.
- If a program is paused and later resumed, pricing protection applies only if the original program scope and structure remain unchanged.
- Any expansion of scope (additional hours, program changes, or new test preparation) will be priced at current rates.
